The channel is changing. ‘Digital transformation’ is no longer just a buzzword, and clients are now demanding cloud-first technologies within their business.
But Vapour has been cloud-first since our inception in 2013. In fact, our company is built on four cornerstones of cloud-first excellence – voice, video, networks and storage. It’s all we know.find out more
It’s a big day at Vapour’s HQ as our founder and CEO Tim Mercer has featured in The Daily Telegraph!
As an active commentator in the tech space, he is no stranger to the media’s headlines. But today’s coverage reflects the news that Tim has been included in The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders of 2019 – Ones to Watch list.
LDC – part of Lloyds Banking Group – is renowned for backing ambition in industry so when it comes to recognition on a national scale, it doesn’t get much more exciting than this!
As the website explains: “Our Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme shines a light on the stars leading the UK’s mid-sized firms, and the sheer volume of nominations this year was a testament to the health of this segment of the market.
“Our ‘Ones to Watch’ category showcases the dynamic and ambitious leaders behind tomorrow’s mid-sized firms. These business leaders have built extraordinary brands and are punching way above their weight in the growth and export stakes.”
Tim was nominated for the programme, but this was far from a straightforward process. The team behind The LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders list visited our HQ a few months ago to talk in detail about why he set up the company, the vision for the business, his leadership style and so much more.
Reflecting on the process, Tim said: “In many ways this is the icing on the cake of a whirlwind 12 months. We scooped some local business awards at the end of last year and the organisation was listed in the Top Tech Yorkshire report for 2018, before being featured at number 23 in G.P. Bullhound’s Northern Tech 100 rundown this February.
“So, fast forward to this Telegraph exposure and of course I’m delighted to have appeared alongside some of the UK’s most inspiring industry heavyweights, including a number from the tech sector which is great to see. But the series of successes we’ve experienced as a collective, over the last 12 months, evidences that, at Vapour, it’s all about the team, not just one person.
“I truly believe this has been a testament to our success in 2019 and is the reason we’re on the verge of announcing the two biggest deals in the company’s history, two significant appointments to the team, and the hunt for more colleagues before the year is out!”
