Our solutions

The channel is changing. ‘Digital transformation’ is no longer just a buzzword, and clients are now demanding cloud-first technologies within their business.

But Vapour has been cloud-first since our inception in 2013. In fact, our company is built on four cornerstones of cloud-first excellence – voice, video, networks and storage. It’s all we know.

Getting to know Vapour – Damien Collard

At Vapour, we’re as renowned for our people as we are our robust cloud services. That’s why we regularly put one of our colleagues in the spotlight so you can learn more about their role, their skills and even their annoying habits! Next up it’s Damien Collard…

Job title
Voice Engineer

Describe your role in one sentence
I maintain customer voice solutions across the three platforms we supply, with a primary focus on the Avaya solutions.

If there’s one word to summarise why you got the job, what would it be?
Experience

Of Vapour’s suite of cloud services, which is your favourite?
Höllr – as voice has been my background since leaving school many moons ago.

The phone rings and it’s your dream client – describe who it would be and what help they’d need from you…
Bury FC requiring voice and video solutions (and maybe a job at centre half for a season or two 😉)

If we were to ask your colleagues, what would they say is your worst habit?
Being loud!

And what are you more positively renowned for?
Happiness and positivity.

What are your hopes for the business over the next 12 months?
World domination 😊

What is the one thing you’d change about the industry?
The number of people who claim they can do stuff and can’t!

When Friday evening arrives and the weekend begins… where are we likely to find you?
At home with the kids, or maybe in the gym, followed by a glass or two of red.

What is your dream job? (other than the one you already have of course!)
To play for Bury FC would be the dream, but in fairness my role is so varied and every day is different, so I wouldn’t actually change it for anything.
