Our solutions

The channel is changing. ‘Digital transformation’ is no longer just a buzzword, and clients are now demanding cloud-first technologies within their business.

But Vapour has been cloud-first since our inception in 2013. In fact, our company is built on four cornerstones of cloud-first excellence – voice, video, networks and storage. It’s all we know.

60 seconds with…Damien Collard

It’s Damien Collard’s turn in the spotlight this month – find out what Vapour’s voice engineer thinks about being bold and honest in the tech sector, the biggest misconception in the channel and how a Gameboy introduced him to the world of tech…

How did you first get into the world of tech?

My first encounters were playing Sid Meiers ‘Pirates!’ game via DOS command line or enjoying ‘Fiendish Freddy’s Big Top O’Fun’ on the Commodore 64.

And what is your earliest memory of tech in your life?

The one that definitely sticks out for me is my Gameboy.

What’s the one quality you need to thrive in this environment (especially at Vapour)?

I think there are four, which I try to live by in any environment – be bold, open, trusted and honest.

And what is the one thing you would change about the tech sector?

That would have to be the charlatans – people who say they can but don’t deliver.

Why do you think Vapour stands out in the channel?

We are a young and bold company with great ideas – and an even better set of people – working hard for our customers.

The biggest misconception in the channel is can’t have a one-stop-shop for all your infrastructure needs.
